Software Engineer / Informatician

The company :
This award winning company has offices in the UK and France and the Software Developer can choose either office to work from -Cambridge with regular travel to Paris or in Paris.

Working in a multidiscipline team of biologists, physicists, hardware & software engineers, the Software Developer / Informatician will deliver a wide range of software development projects related to the commercialisation of the instrumentation platform. This will include new data mining and modelling algorithms along with code optimisation for existing software for analysis of RNA and DNA maps, sequences and fingerprints.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree ( BSc, BEng, MEng, MSc, MMath etc) in Software Engineering, Computing, Mathematics or related fields, ideally with specialization in software development for scientific instrumentation platforms.
  • Expert in multithread programming in C/C++/C# using Qt, Boost or equivalent.
  • Ability to implement and document computational algorithms in common programming languages
  • Expertise with good software development practices – self-documenting code, source control, bug tracking.
