A brand-new opportunity for an experienced NPI Project Manager to join an exciting Cambridge based spin out organisation. The company is a world leader in high-tech/low-volume, bespoke special purpose scientific automation equipment, used in industries such as semiconductor manufacturing and pharmacology/cell culture.
The NPI Project Manager needs to have extensive recent project management experience from within a related high technology product manufacturing/engineering development environment. In this role you will become the key interface between the headquarters and regional/customer sites.
The NPI Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that these next generation automated systems are smoothly brought into production in-house and then transferred and installed into the customer facility. This will include the timely resolution of issues found when these next generation manufacturing systems are then operated at customer sites. You will provide valuable customer feedback of these new systems to the internal development team.
The NPI Project Manager will need the following:
Minimum Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or Production) or Science (Biotechnology, Biology or Physics) discipline
At least 3 years recent experience in semiconductor equipment or similar automated scientific instrumentation manufacturing industry
A proven track record in NPI (New Product Introduction) engineering Project Management
A strong project management background, preferably with a PM qualification
Extensive experience in project management methodologies, process and tools
Strong communication and document writing skills
Works well as part of a multidisciplinary team
Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach
