A brand-new Electrical Controls Engineer position has opened at a worldwide technology leader within the Semiconductor industry based near Cambridge. Being an instrumental part of a multi-disciplined engineering department, the Electrical Controls Engineer will be working at the forefront of nano-technology systems – designing automation systems for bespoke special purpose scientific equipment.

As an Electrical Controls Engineer, you will be tasked upon the following:
The generation of detailed electrical diagrams and drawings of power distribution and control systems suitable for manufacture
Contributing to cross-functional development project teams for engineering development projects.
Developing and testing new control technologies for their MOCVD systems

Requirements Electrical Controls Engineer:
Preferably a degree in engineering within an electrical discipline or equivalent OR HNC + experience.
Strong knowledge in field-bus systems (DeviceNet, Ethercat) and PLC controls
Good knowledge in the design of drive systems, pneumatic control and automation technology.
Experience in control of electro-pneumatic/mechanical systems, 3-phase power distribution and heater control systems.
