Business Development Manager – Medical Devices

We are looking for a self-motivated and highly technical Business Development Manager to join a dynamic, professional product design company who develop products and technologies for a variety of industries but have a particular focus on the healthcare technology and medical device sectors. As the Business Development Manager, you will have a solid academic background in Engineering ( eg Mechanical, Electronics, Physics, etc), expertise in product development within the healthcare / medical devices industries and solid business development skills including leading commercial negotiations, writing RTT proposals and contracts. The Business Development Manager will lead the business development activities, working in a close collaboration with the R&D team to identify, develop and manage key accounts.

Requirements
• Business Development skills and experience within the global Healthcare Technology / Medical Devices industry.
• A solid technical degree (Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Physics, Computer Science or similar) from a leading university.
• Strong knowledge of Healthcare/Medical Devices industry and ability to lead dialog with senior healthcare and R&D leaders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical subjects to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Extensive track record of contract negotiations, Response to Tenders and business proposals.
• Real enthusiasm for technology coupled with solid commercial acumen and business awareness
• Full UK driving licence, valid passport, and willingness to travel in the UK and internationally.
Very desirable:
• Product development experience within healthcare/medical devices industry
• Experience of managing complex R&D projects
• Involvement in corporate innovation processes.
