This highly successful technology company design state-of-the-art laser systems & also provide laser imaging services for clients world-wide. They have a brand-new role for an Applications Engineer to join the Imaging systems department.
The Applications Engineer will be heavily involved in the test and analysis as well as R&D of the unique laser imaging systems – servicing a wide range of clients in multiple sectors including medical devices, consumer goods, automotive, scientific instruments, semiconductors -and many more. The Applications Engineer position will suit a Physicist or Engineer who is keen to develop a career in a seriously hi-tech industry. The role is for a person who is highly methodical, and experience working with ISO17025 or a similar quality management system – preferably with experience with laser-based imaging systems and technique. It is very applications focussed and the range of applications and customers is hugely diverse!
Requirements:
• Degree level in science or engineering with 5 years’ experience
• Experience in imaging hardware (lasers, cameras, optics, actuators etc), software and techniques as applied to spray characterization and particle sizing and velocity measurements.
• Experience working in an ISO17025; desirable but not essential if the candidate can demonstrate suitable alternative experience with a relevant ISO quality management system – ISO9001 and can learn the required new skills and techniques.
• Ability to perform both routine measurements and development work.
• Ability to quickly overcome obstacles and issues encountered, Ability to prioritize and “see the bigger picture” as related to CS Lab and its customers.
